Francine Almeda


Francine Almeda


Francine is a member of the class of 2019, as a Philosophy Major and International Studies minor in the Morriesy College of Arts and Sciences. Before coming to Boston College, Francine was the captain of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team and ran track at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Walking on to the team her freshman year, Francine completed her spring season by coxing the Novice 8+ to 9th place in the ACRA National Championship. Starting off her Sophomore year, Francine has coxed both the First Varsity 8+ and First Varsity 4+ in the Head of the Housatonic and Head of the Charles respectively, winning first place at the Head of the Housatonic.

Aidan Bailey


Aidan comes from Amherst, New Hampshire with four years of high school rowing experience, rowing in regattas such as Head of the Charles and Canadian Henley. He is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Physics with minors in Linguistics and Chemistry. He has five older siblings, one of whom rowed at BC between 1999-2002.

Austin Bailey, class of 2019, began rowing at Mercer Junior Rowing Club in Princeton, New Jersey in his junior year of high school. He also rowed for the Hun School in Princeton before coming to Boston College. Austin is currently studying Biology at BC.

Junior in the Carroll School of Management, majoring in Economics and Information Systems... As a freshman, coxed the MN8+... As a sophomore, coxed the Men's Varsity 4+ and the Third Varsity 8+... Career highlight was 10th place finish at Head of the Charles in the Men's Collegiate 4+.

Evan Bolling


Evan was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Regis Jesuit High School where he was a cross-country runner for four years. He started rowing his freshman year at BC, primarily in the Freshman 4 and was in the First Varsity 8+ during the spring of his sophomore year. Evan is a student in the CSOM Honors Program studying Finance and Business Analytics with a minor in English.

Alex began rowing at BC and is majoring in Geoscience with a minor in Economics. Outside of rowing, Alex enjoys running, snowboarding, and camping.

Jack Donaher


Jack Donaher


Jack Donaher is a junior majoring in biology and mathematics.  Jack began his rowing career as a sophomore at Central Catholic High School.  While attending Central, Jack won 2 Midwest Championship gold medals and competed at the SRAA National Championship.  While attending Boston College, Jack has competed in the 1F and 2V.  During his time at BC, he has won 2 Head of the Fish medals and a silver medal at Knecht Cup and finished 6th at ACRA Championships in the 2V event.

Ethan Foy


Ethan Foy


Ethan Foy is a junior studying Classics and English in the College of Arts and Sciences. Ethan was born in London, UK to Gregory and Rosemary, and moved shortly thereafter to Boston. Before BC, he attended St. Mark's School in Southborough, MA, where he rowed for four years and ran cross-country for three. He spent his first year racing in and out of the Freshman 8, and spent most of his sophomore year in the Third Varsity 8+  and Varsity 4+. Between his sophomore and junior years, he attended the CRI U23 Development Camp alongside a number of BC teammates. In his spare time, Ethan enjoys hiking, sailing, cycling, sleeping, and Oxford commas. He has a strange fascination with maps.

Nate Hayes

Nate is from Reno, Nevada and attended from Sage Ridge School. In high school, Nate swam for four years and was runner up at the Nevada State championship meet. He began to row at BC in the fall of his Freshman year and plans on majoring in Chemistry.

Connor Hayman


Connor Hayman


Connor grew up in Portland, OR and moved down to Redwood City, CA the summer before his freshman year of high school. He attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, CA and rowed his Junior and Senior years with Norcal Crew, a club team out of Redwood City. At Boston College, he is majoring in Mathematics and was a member of the Emerging Leaders Program as a freshman. Connor enjoys listening to music, watching/playing sports, and crossfitting during the offseason.

Yuran Liu


Yuran Liu


Yuran Liu, also known as Rio was born and raised in Beijing China. He arrived in the United States to attend Waldorf High School of Massachusetts Bay in 2011. Rio played soccer and basketball in high school. At Boston College, Rio majors in economics and mathematics. In addition to rowing, he is also a dedicated 4Boston volunteer. In his freshman year, Rio sat 5 seat in the first freshmen eight that finished fourth at New England's. He also stroked the same boat to a second place in the petite final at ACRA.

Brian is originally from Long Island where he began rowing at Chaminade High School, a team formerly coached by legendary rowing coach Larry Muri.

Shanzi is a born and bred New Englander from Milton, MA. She is a Pre-Law Junior studying Marketing and Communication. Prior to joining the BC team her sophomore year, she coxed for three years with the Neponset Rowing Club.

Anthony Marino


Anthony Marino is a member of the Class of 2017 studying Accounting in the Carroll School of Management. Originally from Skillman, New Jersey, Anthony attended the Hun School of Princeton where he played soccer for three years and rowed for all four for the school along with some summer rowing with Mercer Junior Rowing Club on Lake Mercer. Interests include superheroes, cinema, and the shore.

Xhonatan Mezini is a Junior in the Carroll School of Management. He is studying Finance and Accounting. Outside of rowing, Xhonatan is on the Executive Board of the AHANA Management Academy, Boston College Finance Academy, and Boston College Portfolio Challenge. 

Prior to enrolling at B.C., Xhonatan attended Boston College High School where he began his rowing career during his Sophomore year.

Daniel Reilly


Enrolled in Morrisey School of Arts and Sciences as a Communications major. Son of Maria and John Reilly (BC Hockey '91). Attended St. Johns Prep in Danvers, MA. He rowed for Greater Lawrence Rowing, was the 2014 GLR Ergathon Champion, and 2014 Most Improved Athlete. Freshman year Danny stroked the freshman 8+ in the fall and sat 2 seat through the spring racing season. Sophomore year he sat 4 seat in the Second Varsity 8+, winning silver at Knecht Cup and finishing 6th in the Grand Final at ACRA's.

JP Scaduto


JP is a Biology major and Computer Science minor with a concentration in Bioinformatics. He has rowed for 8 years, starting at the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo NY where he was coached by former Olympian(4+) and World Champion(2+), James Neil. JP is also a competitive cyclist and enjoys rowing his "stupid yellow single" in his off time while at school. JP is the current Commander-in-Chief of the Boston College Men's Rowing Team.

PJ is  from Commack, NY and attended Commack High School. He began rowing at BC, where he will be majoring in Mathematics. His additional hobbies include golfing and skiing.

David Smith is a Political Science major in the Morrissey School of Arts and Sciences. He began rowing in his freshman year after having ran track and cross country in high school. David enjoys cycling and long distance running when not on the water.

Alessandro is a Biology and English double major on the Pre-Medical track. Alessandro began rowing 6 years ago at Fordham Preparatory School where he was coached by the legendary rowing coach Larry Muri. Outside of rowing Alessandro also enjoys cycling and swimming, as well as buying/trading internet commodities. Alessandro is currently the team's Account Executive.

Ed is a senior from Brockton, Massachusetts. He attended Boston College High School,  where he rowed for 4 years. At BCH, Ed medaled in the 2012 Head of the Charles in the Youth 8 as well as competed in the 2012 Henley Royal Regatta in England. Freshman year, Ed was 7 seat of the Novice 8 which finished 1st at New England's and 3rd at ECACs. Ed has rowed in the 1V & 2V the past two years. Ed is the son of John and Susan, and is a double major in Economics and Philosophy in the Perspectives Honors Program in the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences.

Colin is a finance major and plans on adding something else to that before graduating. He went to school at Watchung Hills Regional High School, but didn't row before coming to BC. He played varsity soccer and was a jumper for the track team before coming to BC. Also his favorite color is blue.

Andrew studies Economics in the Morrisey School of Arts and Sciences. He attended The Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA where he pole vaulted for the school's track and field team. After joining the Men's Crew team the fall of his freshman year, he rowed in 4th seat of the Freshmen 8+. During his sophomore year Andrew rowed in 3rd seat of the Second Varsity 8+, winning silver at Knecht Cup.
