Aidan Bailey

Hometown: Amherst, NH

Class: 2019

Height: 6'0"   Weight: 158

Bio:  Aidan comes from Amherst, New Hampshire with four years of high school rowing experience, rowing in regattas such as Head of the Charles and Canadian Henley. He is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Physics with minors in Linguistics and Chemistry. He has five older siblings, one of whom rowed at BC between 1999-2002.

Austin Bailey

Class: 2019

Height: 6'0"  Weight: 175

Bio: Began rowing at Mercer Junior Rowing Club in Princeton, New Jersey in his junior year of high school. He also rowed for the Hun School in Princeton before coming to Boston College. Austin is currently studying Biology at BC.

Ria Baldoz

Hometown: Stamford, CT

Class: 2018

Bio: Senior in the Carroll School of Management, majoring in Economics and Information Systems... As a freshman, coxed the MN8+... As a sophomore, coxed the Men's Varsity 4+ and the Third Varsity 8+... Career highlight so far is a 10th place finish at Head of the Charles in the Men's Collegiate 4+. Studied abroad during her junior year.

Evan Bolling

Hometown: Denver, CO

Class: 2018

Height: 6'4"  Weight: 180

Bio: Evan is the President of the team for the 2017-2018 Season. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Regis Jesuit High School where he was a cross-country runner for four years. He started rowing his freshman year at BC, primarily in the Freshman 4 and was in the First Varsity 8+ during the spring of his sophomore year. Evan is a student in the CSOM Honors Program studying Finance and Business Analytics with a minor in English.

Jacob Catania

Hometown: Bedford, NH

Class: 2020

Height: 5'10"  Weight: 163

Bio: Jake is a sophomore who started rowing at Bedford High School in NH. He won an ACRA National Championship in the Freshman 8+ event during his first year at BC. He is currently studying Psychology.

Alex Chansky

Hometown: Winchester, MA

Class: 2019

Height: 6'0"  Weight: 165

Bio: Alex began rowing at BC and is majoring in Geoscience with a minor in Economics. He spent the entirety of his sophomore year competing in the Varsity 8+. Outside of rowing, Alex enjoys running, snowboarding, and camping.

Jack Donaher

Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA

Class: 2018

Height: 5'11"  Weight: 160

Bio: Jack is a junior majoring in biology and mathematics.  He began his rowing career as a sophomore at Central Catholic High School.  While attending Central, Jack won 2 Midwest Championship gold medals and competed at the SRAA National Championship.  While attending Boston College, Jack has competed in the 1F and 2V.  During his time at BC, he has won 2 Head of the Fish medals and a silver medal at Knecht Cup and finished 6th at ACRA Championships in the 2V event.

Ethan Foy

Hometown: Brookline, MA

Class: 2018

Height: 6'0"  Weight: 185

Bio: Ethan is a junior studying Classics and English in the College of Arts and Sciences. Ethan was born in London, UK to Gregory and Rosemary, and moved shortly thereafter to Boston. Before BC, he attended St. Mark's School in Southborough, MA, where he rowed for four years and ran cross-country for three. He spent his first year racing in and out of the Freshman 8, and spent most of his sophomore year in the Third Varsity 8+  and Varsity 4+. Between his sophomore and junior years, he attended the CRI U23 Development Camp alongside a number of BC teammates. In his spare time, Ethan enjoys hiking, sailing, cycling, sleeping, and Oxford commas. He has a strange fascination with maps. He is currently the Vice President of the team.

Nate Hayes

Hometown: Reno, NV

Class: 2019

Height: 6'2"  Weight: 185

Bio: Nate is from Reno, Nevada and attended from Sage Ridge School. In high school, Nate swam for four years and was runner up at the Nevada State championship meet. He began to row at BC in the fall of his Freshman year and is currently studying Chemistry. Nate spent the entirety of his sophomore year competing in the Varsity 8+.

Yuran Liu

Hometown: Beijing, China

Class: 2019

Height: 6'1"  Weight: 184

Bio: Rio was born and raised in Beijing China. He arrived in the United States to attend Waldorf High School of Massachusetts Bay in 2011, where he played soccer and basketball. At Boston College, Rio majors in economics and mathematics. In addition to rowing, he is also a dedicated 4Boston volunteer. In his freshman year, Rio sat 5 seat in the first freshmen eight that finished fourth at New England's. He also stroked the same boat to a second place in the petite final at ACRA. Rio spent time in the Varsity 8+ and 2V 8+ his sophomore year.

Brian Lynch

Hometown: Long Island, NY

Bio: Brian is originally from Long Island where he began rowing at Chaminade High School, a team formerly coached by legendary rowing coach Larry Muri. Brian stroked the Novice 8+ his freshman year and won a silver medal at the Knecht Cup in the 2V 8+ during his sophomore year. He studied abroad in the fall of his junior year but returned for the Spring 2017 racing season.

Bio: Anthony is a sophomore from Brookline, MA studying Economics. As a freshman he rowed 3 seat in the Freshman 8+ ACRA National Championship boat. In high school he rowed for Boston College High School, competing in the Head of the Charles as well as Henley Royal Regatta in England.

Daniel Reilly

 

Hometown: Andover, MA

Class: 2018

Height: 6'3"  Weight: 195

Bio: Dan is a Senior Captain on the team from Andover, MA. He is the son of Maria and John Reilly (BC Hockey '91). Attended St. Johns Prep in Danvers, MA and rowed for Greater Lawrence Rowing. Spent the summer of 2016 competing on the CRI U23 Team alongside other BC teammates. Sophomore year he sat 4 seat in the Second Varsity 8+, winning silver at Knecht Cup and finishing 6th in the Grand Final at ACRA'sJunior year he spent time in 4 seat and stroke seat of the Varsity 8+. Hobbies including eating, golf, and eating.

Bio: PJ is from Commack, NY and attended Commack High School. He began rowing at BC, where he is majoring in Mathematics. His additional hobbies include golfing and skiing.

Bio: David Smith is a Political Science major in the Morrissey School of Arts and Sciences. He began rowing in his freshman year after having ran track and cross country in high school. David enjoys cycling and long distance running when not on the water.

Bio: Nicholas is a Sophomore at BC studying Political Science and Economics. He is a transfer student from Ithaca College. Nick has rowed for 5 years, 4 years in high school at St. John's Shrewsbury, 1 year at Ithaca College where was in the Varsity 8+ and two summers for the Quinsigamond Rowing Club.

Bio: Colin is a finance major and plans on adding something else to that before graduating. He went to school at Watchung Hills Regional High School, but didn't row before coming to BC. He played varsity soccer and was a jumper for the track team before coming to BC. Also his favorite color is blue.

Nathan Whitaker

Hometown: Kirkland, WA

Class: 2018

Height: 6'5"  Weight: 208

Bio: Nathan is a senior with a Political Science and Economics double major. He ran cross country in high school and walked on the team freshman year. Since then, in addition to BC, Nathan has rowed for Potomac Boat Club in Washington DC, Sammamish Rowing Association in Redmond, WA, and competed in the 2017 Boston Marathon.

Johanna Walsh

Hometown: New Castle, United Kingdom

Class: 2018

Bio: Johanna, a study abroad student from the National University of Ireland, Galway for the year. A Northern Irish coxswain who within a two year period in the sport has achieved three Irish national titles in the women's NC4X+, WC4+, WI4+ and a intervarsity title in MC4+ alongside numerous domestic regatta wins in multiple categories for both men and women including senior 8's wins. Johanna also has some international racing experience within Europe including a third place finish at London Met in Women's championship 8+ and a win in the tier 4 women's 4+ along with a 12th place finish in the Heineken Amsterdam.

Kyle Wiant

Hometown: Pittsford, NY

Class: 2020

Height: 5'11"  Weight: 160

Bio: Kyle began rowing as a freshman in high school with Pittsford Crew, where he won two club gold medals at NY State Championships in the lightweight 8+. In his freshman year at BC, Kyle sat bow seat in the Freshman 8+ that won gold at the ACRA National Championship. He is a biology major on the pre-medical track, with a minor in Film Studies.

Bio: Andrew studies Economics in the Morrisey School of Arts and Sciences. He attended The Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA where he pole vaulted for the school's track and field team. After joining the Men's Crew team the fall of his freshman year, he rowed in 4th seat of the Freshmen 8+. During his sophomore year Andrew rowed in 3rd seat of the Second Varsity 8+, winning silver at Knecht Cup.
